Good book withdrawl!
I think I am going through book withdrawal. I finished Third Grave Dead Ahead, yesterday and have been upset that I have nothing good to read ever since. Oh I have books to read, (I always have something to read) they just aren't doing it for me. I can't wait until something better comes in.
Third Grave Dead Ahead by Darynda Jones
This is the third book in the series. I don't think there is an official series title, but they all have a number and grave in the title.
Charley Davison is a paranormal private eye who just happens to be the world's only grim reaper. In this book Charley has a new case to solve only she is distracted by the son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, who she loves/hates, but is drawn to despite herself. Reyes is mad at her and is putting Charley in danger. Charley's dad is trying to get her to hang-up the P.I. business. Charley helps a biker gang befriending them and sparking a possible romance with the gang leader?
The book is witty and cute. The plot is interesting enough to keep me turning pages. I love the fact that Charley is so powerful and hasn't discovered how to use her powers. I love the enigmatic Reyes. A great read! Lighthearted with plenty of supernatural elements and the possibility of romance.

Okay, since I haven't posted since 2012 started, here is my 2011 wrap-up. In 2011, I read 140 books. Of those all but 15 were of the supernatural genre. So, it looks like I'm officially a vampire book nut. My husband can't believe there are that many more vampire-type books left that I haven't read. I certainly hope there are!
Here are my favorite series of 2011:
The Hollows by Kim Harrison
Anita Blake Vampire Hunter by Laurell K. Hamilton
The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning
I obsessively read the entire series of all three and was completely caught up. I have one Anita Blake book left to read and I can't wait!

I'm Back!
I can not believe that it had been six months since I have last written anything! My excuse is that I am now working! It has been quite an adjustment. My husband and kids are very busy and hardworking so I used to do A LOT for them. That is having to change. I know, welcome to real life, but that doesn't make is any easier. Also, I don't have as much reading time anymore, although books are still an important part of my life. I will look over my reading list and update soon.
